Richmond Hill Viewing Point boasts some of the most breathtaking panoramic scenery in West London. Perched above the Richmond Terrace Gardens, it overlooks the sweeping Thames Basin, where boats gently glide along the river. This tranquil spot is a cherished retreat for both residents and tourists, offering ample benches to sit back and soak in the calm surroundings.

Making your way up to the viewpoint from the riverside, you get the opportunity to walk through the beautiful floral/shrubbery and small wooded areas of Richmond’s Terrence Gardens that are home to biodiverse species such as stag beetles that commonly are seen there and jackdaws that often travel from neighbouring Richmond Park to forage.

I’ve visited the spot on numerous occasions and in all different seasons. I highly recommend visiting during October-November when the Autumnal colours takes hold – such a beautiful sight, especially if you’re able to get a bit of fog setting in.
